A City With 80 Years of Bathrooms
Richland’s housing tells the Hanford story. The alphabet houses — the A, B, F, and Y homes built for project workers in the 1940s — still fill the central city, and their bathrooms are solidly built but famously out of square after eight decades of settling. A prefab “standard” door meets those walls with ugly gaps; glass fabricated to the actual opening meets them with clean, even reveals. That’s the heart of our replacement and custom enclosure work in Richland.
Newer Richland is a different job entirely: Meadow Springs and Horn Rapids homes bring big walk-in masters that were made for frameless glass, and the newest construction toward Badger Mountain South follows the same pattern as Pasco’s boom — great bones, builder-grade glass.
Richland Requests We See Weekly
- Alphabet-house tub combos upgraded from curtains to glass tub doors — the single best light-and-space upgrade in those compact baths.
- Meadow Springs frameless enclosures, often with notched panels over benches and knee walls.
- Hard-water rescues. Richland glass clouds just like everywhere else in the Basin; when cleaning stops working, replacement plus a protective coating resets the clock. Our hard water guide explains the chemistry.
We serve all Richland ZIPs — 99352 and 99354 — plus north Richland by the WSU Tri-Cities campus, and neighboring West Richland.

Richland Shower Door FAQs
Can you fit glass in an out-of-square alphabet house bathroom?
Yes — that's exactly what custom measurement is for. We measure at multiple heights, and the glass is cut to follow your opening's true geometry, so it fits without wedge gaps or caulk sculpting.
Do you install in Horn Rapids and Meadow Springs?
Yes, all of Richland including Horn Rapids, Meadow Springs, the central alphabet district, and north Richland near the campus.
What's the most popular door style in Richland right now?
Frameless doors with matte black hardware lead in newer neighborhoods; glass tub doors are the favorite upgrade in the older central-city homes.
Is a permit needed to replace a shower door in Richland?
Swapping a shower door on an existing shower is a like-for-like fixture replacement and doesn't normally require a permit. Full shower remodels involving plumbing are a different story — happy to point you to the right resources if your project grows.
